In this project, I embarked on the challenge of enhancing visitor experience through a comprehensive way-showing and user journey design. The primary focus was on creating a seamless end-to-end user experience by leveraging an information design approach.
The journey began with a meticulous analysis of content, drawing insights from thorough research and relevant case studies. This foundational research laid the groundwork for the subsequent stages of the UX design process. The ultimate goal was to integrate insights gained into a cohesive and intuitive wayfinding system, enriching the overall experience for visitors.
The scope of the project extended beyond traditional wayfinding elements, encompassing both interior and exterior signage to guide visitors seamlessly through the venue. Every design decision was informed by a user-centric perspective, ensuring that the way-showing elements were not only functional but also aesthetically pleasing. Recognising the importance of real-time information dissemination, digital media, particularly smartphones, became a focal point of the project. The incorporation of digital elements facilitated the display of up-to-date information, enhancing the overall accessibility and responsiveness of the wayfinding system.
This project showcases the journey from research and analysis to the practical application of information design principles. It highlights the thought processes and design considerations that went into creating a holistic user experience, blending traditional signage with contemporary digital solutions.
